MLM it's a Jungle out there!
55Avoid the pitfalls of many MLM's
What you need to know about multilevel marketing before you get involved. Many a person has search the Internet looking to start their own business. What most people realize in a very short amount of time is there are an incredible amount of people offering a multitude of opportunities in MLM. The problem is that many of these opportunities are not worth your time or effort. I have spent the last two years searching, reviewing, and getting involved in different multilevel marketing opportunities. One of the first things you have to consider before selecting any multilevel marketing opportunity is, "What are you looking to get out of multilevel marketing?" Are you looking to make a little bit of money, a lot of money, or to get downright filthy rich. One of the first things I think that most people must realize is that with multilevel marketing just like any business there are going to be costs related with starting up. Although you will see many business opportunities on the Internet that say, you can start them up for free. I have yet to see one that is truly free. Almost every Internet business requires at a minimum of a domain name and the web site. Also, very few businesses can function without advertising. Advertising costs money. There are some ways to do it on the cheap, but the reality of it is. You may have to spend some money to advertise your new business to make some money.
I would also warn you to beware of multilevel marketing opportunities that are carbon copies of each other. What I mean by this is a lot of affiliate marketing programs try and sell you a predesigned web site. This may seem great to those of you out there who do not know how to build a web site or can’t afford to hire someone to build one for you, but here are some of the pitfalls. Google who we all know is the master of all search engines searches the web for new and original content. So if you're web site is a carbon copy of someone else's web site who built it before you there's a very good chance that Google will rank your sights so low that it will never be seen. Now I have seen affiliate programs were hundreds of people have the same web site and web page. In the eyes of the Google search engine this is just a copy, and plagiarism of someone else's work, which will get you ranked so low your site will never be found. Internet optimization techniques take great skill persistence and constant work. For you to get your web site noticed, you will have to write original content, use creative key words that are not used by everyone else selling the same thing.
One multi-level marketing program that I tried I couldn't even figure out what it was I was selling. The splash page that got my attention seemed really interesting and at that the time I was looking for methods to market a multilevel marketing company that I was already involved in and making pretty good money. I literally spent two days, reading all the material on the site and couldn't figure out exactly what it was that I was selling. The best I could figure out was it was a program designed to get me enrolled in multiple multi-level marketing affiliate opportunities that were all free and paid commissions. What I thought was a multilevel marketing opportunity that would help me market my already successful business better turned out to be a total waste of my time, and cost me a whole $10. Best I could tell it was really designed to just try and get me to purchase a web site. Through a company called GDI, which stands for Global Domains International. In fact, after searching for many multilevel marketing opportunities I've found that there are many linked to this Global Domains International. I'm not saying the Global Domains International is a bad business opportunity, but it seems that there are some unethical multilevel marketers out there that are using creative ways just to get people to order web sites and domain hosting through them. The other reason I wouldn't choose them is because I can go to Yahoo domains or Go Daddy and get domain hosting much cheaper. In fact, I get my domain hosting for $10 a year, as opposed to $10 a month through Global Domains International.
If you really want to get a feel for the multitude of multilevel marketing opportunities available go check out a traffic engine. For those of you who don't know what a traffic engine is it’s a site designed to help get traffic to a new web site by the members clicking on each others' ads and surfing. It's basically an agreement, "If you look at my add, I'll look at yours." It's also a way to get some low-cost advertising for your business. I currently use a traffic engine called. I love hits.com. So far this one seems to be pretty good one and is definitely generated some traffic to my web site. But if you really want to get a feel for how many of the repeat opportunities are out there this is a good place to start before you jump in. Do not buy the first opportunity you see. Take the time to check them out.

Currently, the best thing I am involved in is the Beachbody Coaching Opportunity. I started in Beachbody multilevel marketing last November, and in a matter of four months time I was making money. The interesting thing is I didn't get involved at first to make money. In fact, the reason I got involved with Beachbody in the first places was to get in shape. Beachbody products helped me lose over 27 pounds and got me healthy and feeling good about myself. So it wasn't a difficult decision to get involved with a company, whose products I already loved because of the results they helped me get. So that would be another recommendation of mine would be get involved with a product or company that you already love or like their product. Another thing that I like about the Beachbody Business Opportunity. is that Beachbody like no other company that I know helps you build your business by sharing customers with you. Once you make emerald level with Beachbody you're able to take part in the customer sharing program. What this means is that when Beachbody gets a new customer they assign that customer to a qualified Beachbody Coach. That customer is now that coaches for life. Any future purchases made by that customer are shared with the Coach. So not only do you grow your business through word-of-mouth with your friends and family but Beachbody helps you do it to by sharing the customers that they get from their $80 million lead generation program from TV advertising with you.
Now don't get me wrong. I love to pitch my business that I'm involved in because I feel very passionate about it. But that is not the main reason I am writing this. I really want to help others out there who are considering getting involved in an Internet business to be successful, because there are many pitfalls and mistakes you can make along the way. Also, I do not consider myself some great expert in Internet marketing. My success through Internet marketing has come from persistence and hard work. I'm not going to show you some flashy picture of me in front of some ridiculously huge expensive house, or fancy sports car. Like you will see from 95% of the people who will try and lore you into their business opportunity. My business opportunity and success depends on the people that I bring into it, as well as a hard work that I put into it. I am not building a get rich quick scheme. I'm building a solid business that will last long into the future and I help my people, who decide to do the same build on their success.
If you would like to check out the business I'm involved in you can go here and watch the video. If you have a questions feel free to write me and I'll do my best answer them. Like I said before, I do not consider myself some Internet marketing guru, but I have found a decent level of success in my business through hard work and persistence. I have made many mistakes along the way. I would be happy to help others avoid many of the pitfalls out there. Before, they jump into an Internet business, with hopes of making millions of dollars, only to find themselves broke, and upset at the unfulfilled promises that many of these multi level marketing opportunities claim.
